I think it's really good that there is a place on which you can watch live concerts, interviews and music videos on and on again, but there is one thing I really can't uunderstand. When private persons film their friends and publish films that is nothing for the general public I really can't follow. I mean, haven't these people forgotten something? Yes, I dare claime they have and that is that when the film is uploaded it's defeitely and you can't erase it. I know more cases in which young people has filmed their friends with their digital cameras or with the cell phones and then uploaded it to YouTube. Why? I really can't follow. I am sorry.

Well that's specifically what it's FOR after all. I mean, that's why it's called YOUtube. As people travel more and build friendships with people farther away and families spread out this is a way for everyone to keep up with important moments like new babies or graduations, or even mundane things like barbeques, etc. (Here's my personal contribution, the final wall of a Mexican restaurant coming down behind our house to make way for apartments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyRlaty8NyU )
Much as I like sitting around watching the Pet Shop Boys (ESPECIALLY interviews from other countries or obscure footage) all that is copyrighted material and it's technically illegal to even have it up there. If they had the time and inclination it could all be gone tomorrow.
its so that they can show their other friends and put the videos on their own website, blog, myspace... ect. also any video uploaded to youtube can be deleted by the person who put it there!
