Hi everyone! My name is Anna, I am from Ukraine, 31 years old. I've been Pets' admirer since 1987, and for many years I've been thinking that I was alone in the whole world. Mr. Wayne Studer from USA (a devoted Pets' admirer) helped me to find this forum. Thank him and thank you for creating a new space for all the fans. Sure we'll discuss interesting themes. My writing in English is rather poor so for sometime i'll be just a lazy pethead.

You mean Lydia's forum and yes I have seen it too. Now I am banned from there, but still I have seen she has made an own section for your stories. I don't write fiction stories though, but I use to write letters to Neil and Chris (most to Chris).

Hi skorpion76,

yeah, I meant Lydia's forum. Why did you get banned from there? Did you say that you still liked PSB? *lol*
Letters? Real letter to them personally? Did you ever get a reply? And what were you discussing in your letters?

Because she didn't stand me. I posted protected pictures, wanted to use my own ranks, started pointless discussions about that I love Chris so much. No, I didn't write to them personally. I wrote the letters in my group because I am not a member of the fan club. I think it's much better writing and publishing the letters in a forum or a group. Why? Please read this:

My love to Chris (Lowe) contains collecting pictures of him, dedicate song lyrics to him, writing letters and publish them in forums. I might write to tje fan club, but I am not a member there. I have been told that one can be so cheaten and disappointed just because it doesn't carry on by the artists themselves. It's my parents who have told me this, but I don't know much about their own experiences around it.
Then I have been through a really tragic happening earlier when I was a fan of Swedish artists. When this happened I had not so much friends. I was very alone and instead of real friends my greatest favorites became my friends.
Tragic, but true, which also meant that I talked very much about them at school which I really didn't get to do, but what was I to do? For me it was "natural" how strange it still may sound, but it also meant that other children joked the more with me and made fun of me. Among others there were two girls in the neighbour class who joked with me in a very mean way. (Who haven't heard that nobody can be more mean like girls?) Anyway it began with that they told me they had met my gratest favorites and I believed them.
At first I said no I didn't believe them, but stubbornly they continued claiming yes they had met my greatest favorites.
When I began next class I had a new great favorite and the girls claimed that I could write letters to him. When they met him they would gave the letter to him. I believed them and wrote a letter. A few days later I got a letter from the girls and I thought it was from my greatest favorite. I wrote back to say thank you, but then it came out that all was a joke from the girls side. They had just joked with me, but since I was stupid enough to believe them, they thought it was fun continue joking.
This went so long that we went to the psychologist he whole family and talked about it. That conversation amount that I would realize it was better for me to don't talk so much about my greatest favorites and live like they were my friends. Nobody thought of find out the real reason and what was wrong from the beginning.
Something that was really unfair in the casual was that I had to go seeing a psychologist, but the girls didn't need to be held respinsible for what they did. They just need to say that they wanted to joke with me and then it was nothing more.

God!
Oh you know what you should do?You must write many letters and keep them, open your heart and write those letters don't let anyone to criticise you!You are free to express your feelings ...maybe one day you can give PSB one of those letters in hand, let's dream and who knows? ;)

I used to write letters to the PSB knowing that they would never read them....but thanks to official site comments, Neil read one!and in 2004 when they came to Argentina I could gave him another letter in his hand...He thanked me very kindly! In 2007 I gave him another letter too!

So don't give up girl!

What the girls did to you in school was bad, skorpion76 and I can guess how it must have felt. I was in a similar situation once at school, not because I talked too much aobut my favourite stars but because I was very shy and a bit of a loner and didn't have many friends at school. My teachers thought it was a good idea to sent me to the school's phycologist and to call me out of lessons in front of the whole class to sent me there. Which of course helped matters as people now thought I was totally nuts...

About the letters you wrote to Neil and Chris... Well, I haven't seen them so I can't judge. But if you ever intend to really sent them to them personally I think you should respect their privacy and not expect them to answer really personla questions.

Apart from that I think everybody is free to do what they want in their own mind. When I was really low I used to imagine talking to Neil and when I was even younger I imagined I'd run into Remington Steele (anybody remember Pierce Brosnan in that programm?).

 This cracked me up!

I heard that in the early days Neil used to proofread all the letters and send them back to people with all the grammar errors pointed out - wouldn't that be awful?

I sent Neil a tie one year for his birthday almost 20 years ago and never heard back - never saw him wearing the tie either. (Come to think of it - it was probably a pretty ugly tie! What does a 20-year-old girl know about picking ties?)

Last year (in person) I gave him a scarf I knit myself and he said it was "Lovely" but I've never seen a picture of him wearing it either - I'm sure all that stuff just gets thrown away. Where would they keep it all?

I will keep the letters for myself. Sad to hear he didn't like your tie or wears your scarf, but I think that's life. They are so famous that everybody can't ha ve the same luck and bexcome friends with them.
