Does the one-painted-finger mean anything? I've seen quite a few famous people do it. I know the extra-long pinky finger usually means you do cocaine, lol - Neil's looks regular-length though. It's also on his right hand which means either someone else did it for him, he's left-handed, or just very steady!

I see people who are loking for the ''secret meaning'' in everywhere rater often, even where there's not .( I don't mean you !) I 've heared they think men who has earrings in left ear are gay ! but look - almost all men who have earrings have it in left ear or in both !!!!!!! absolutelly foolish !
if we'll have to think what probably somebody can think about us ''figuring out'' what and how, where we put on , we'd better stay naked !

Oh the earring thing goes waaaay back and probably did have some meaning at one point. (Actually it was the right ear meant "gay" when I was younger because the saying was "Left is 'right' and right is 'wrong'" ::rolleyes:: )

Then of course George Michaels had both ears pierced and everyone was totally confused. I mean - we all knew he was straight, right?

I only asked because in the 70s there used to be all these gay "codes" with keychains and hankerchiefs to signify what you were looking for and what you were into that for the most part straight people were completely oblivious to. I'm not implying the painted pinky symbolizes anything specific but was curious why so many people felt like doing it without some reason behind it.
